Selective sorting in the city
Following the global agreement on global warming (Paris agreement in 2015), the 55 signatory countries aim at limiting global warming to 2 degrees Celsius. At their level, cities must take the appropriate measures to contribute to this goal.
From this agreement follows the French amendment CD 1662 of 21st November 2019: it aims at generalising the selective sorting litter bins in the public space with a deadline of 5 years. It was reinforced in 2020 by the obligation of generalized sorting by streams. The cities highlight the means deployed to obey this obligation of sorting with communication campaigns and educational actions for the citizens.
